Agonizing

High school students facing the the decision about what direction to take after graduation, often agonize over the possibilities. Sometimes the opportunities seem endless and so crucial.

  • Which school to choose?
  • Close to home or even "in-state"?
  • Small private college or large state university?
  • Which major to pursue?
  • Gap year?
  • Or maybe a technical degree?
  • And how am I going to pay for it all?
"So many choices, which one is right for me?"

 Avoiding

Some high school students cannot bear to think about what they will do after high school. Many students have not thought about what career might be a good fit for them, so the thought of college or technical training seems overwhelming. Often a student will avoid the conversation altogether.

If your teen is agonizing or avoiding the decision about his or her next season of life, counseling can help. Call Elizabeth Dupree to set up an appointment.
